Unlike rabbits and guinea-pigs, hamsters are not vegetarians ! Hamsters are omnivores - they need
special proteins. A diet consisting of only seeds and veggies is too poor; although each standard
seed-mix for hamsters contains needed proteins. Never feed seed-mix produced for other animals - use
special hamster-seed-mix. The nutrition needed for hamsters is different to all other small animals
(and some mixes for other animals contains dangerous ingredients!).
